TESTIMONIALS
Absolutely one of the BEST camping experiences I’ve had! My cousin and I stayed in a vardo for only one night, and had the most wonderful time. We were able to just relax, be in the middle of such a beautiful property, and met the coolest people! I already have at least two more stays planned, and have told everyone I know about this place!

It’s a living, breathing sanctuary that changes you from the inside out. The second you come through the gate, something in your body just… softens. Like your nervous system recognizes the place before your mind even catches up. Everything gets quieter and clearer. It feels like the land itself puts a hand on your shoulder and says, You’re safe here. You can finally be who you really are. I came as a WWOOFer and ended up discovering more about myself than I even knew I needed to. The people who live here, they don’t just welcome you, they see you. They hold space the way people only do when they’re truly living intentionally. There’s no judgment. No pressure. No masks. Just presence, kindness, depth, and a level of emotional intelligence you don’t run into in the everyday world. The land is sacred in the truest sense. Everything has been touched with love. The cabins and yurts are tucked into nature like they grew there. The tent sites and car-camping spots all feel private and intentional. The outhouses are always clean, not “camping clean,” but actually well cared for. The trails are maintained with respect, the way you care for something you’re in relationship with. Both ponds are absolutely stunning, the kind of water that makes you stop walking because the reflection is too beautiful to ignore. The garden is alive with color. The greenhouse feels like stepping into another world. There’s an art studio, a pavilion, a Spirit Shack, and now a library where you can sit and breathe and remember what it feels like to slow down. And then there’s Freedom Field, one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever stood. Wide open. Expansive. Alive. Covered in wildflowers when they bloom and somehow just as magical when they don’t. At night, the sky is unreal. Like the stars finally have enough space to speak. The outdoor shower feels like a whole reset after exploring the trails, paddling around the ponds, or cruising the Art Cart (which is honestly one of the best ideas they’ve ever had, the perfect way to roam the land for a great price). Every single detail of this place is intentional. Nothing is neglected. Nothing is halfway. They treat the land like a living being, and you can feel it. The trees here are storytellers. The wind feels different. The energy is something you don’t forget. And the community… that’s the heartbeat of everything. The residents are some of the most genuine, emotionally present people I’ve ever met. The WWOOFers who come through are their own little constellation of beautiful souls. And the school bus cabin? One of the coolest, most thoughtful spaces I’ve stayed in. The energy is an absolute gift to the land and to everyone who visits. What Milo gave me, you can’t put a price on it. More mindfulness. More emotional intelligence. More self-awareness. A level of internal peace that followed me home. This place didn’t just give me memories, it rewired me. MILO stands for Mindful Intentional Living in Oneness. But the miracle is, they don’t just say the words. They live them. Every day. In every interaction. In every corner of this land. I can’t think of one single thing that isn’t perfect about this place. Not one. It will always be my favorite place in the entire world, and I will forever be grateful for the way it held me, taught me, opened me, and reminded me who I am. If you’re craving peace, healing, adventure, connection, or a return to the version of yourself that’s been waiting, Milo will meet you exactly where you are and give you more than you knew you were looking for.Posted on Google Kelly HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A VERY unique farm, so much to see and explore. The staff is incredible, Jake is a rock star employee. This is a great location for getting off the grid without having to travel too far (if youre a KCMO resident). I only stayed 2 nights but I will be back soon because there is so much more to explore. Kid friendly! Loni is an amazing host. The donkeys and goats are an added bonus!Posted on Google Benjamin GTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My week spent at Milo Farm was likely the most peaceful week I've had in quite a while. The day after I pulled my camper from Iowa my transmission went out. The folks at Milo were very understanding and helpful. I helped with a few things around the farm over the duration of my stay and got to work and hang out with some of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I was a stranger upon arrival and felt like family within a week of knowing these amazing people. I will definitely be back. Thank you Milo Farm family, I love you all.Posted on Google Bethany PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the very first time I visited Milo Farm and spoke with Loni, I knew this place would be special to me and my family—and it has been. It all started with the name-changing celebration for my son two years ago, and since then, we've made countless memories. From solo camping trips, family getaways, workshops, retreats, and volunteer weekends, to simply walking the trails, Milo Farm has become my safe haven. Loni, her incredible team, and this beautiful land make you feel instantly at home. The trails are a must every time I visit, and it’s amazing to see how much they add and improve. Honestly, I would say I'm surprised by all the changes, but now that I know Loni as both a friend and family, I know the size of her heart. Her vision for Milo Farm is truly coming to life. From the AirB&B and the charming Hobbit Hut to the breathtaking star and sunset views, this place has everything for a little retreat away from home. What makes Milo Farm so special isn't just the natural beauty—it's the people. Loni and her team genuinely care about the well-being of others and the Earth. I've grown so much from my experiences here, and I will always treasure my time at Milo Farm. Thank you, Loni, for creating such a magical, healing space.Load more
