We’ve got basement poured, original house opened up.
Well we’re finally making progress, got the framing crew attaching the boards, using lumber up like beavers. I stood in the great room and could feel the coming height.. The attic can been seen through the ceiling, soon the new height of the ceiling will be revealed. The house is open to all the critters that want to come in the night and see what these crazy humans are doing. The kitchen mice have multiplied since we’ve stopped trapping them. We only have a few things left on the art studio to complete, the ceiling paint and flooring and light fixtures, so some progress was made there. I was hoping we would be farther along on the eve of March, but finding a concrete Co and framing crew was a task. There is so much new construction going on in the city that skilled labor is hard to find. We’ll see what the guys get complete. I’ve got the kitchen cabinets ordered but it sounds like it’ll be months before we’re ready for them. Just happy we are making some progress!
